About Us
My name is Dave Lucas. I have been working in the steelwork industry since leaving school back in 1985, both on the shop floor, Project Managing and as Operations Manager of a medium-sized company. I took a leap of faith in 2012 and started own my own business. Along with my wife Jane and our very capable team, I am looking forward to being able to assist you in your metalwork needs.
I have 38+ years-worth of experience, knowledge, and contacts, and I have recently employed Nick as a project manager who also has a similar number of years’ experience in the industry, so if we are unable to help you directly, we usually know someone who can.
DJL Fabrication Ltd can carry out the fabrication and installation of steel framed structures, balconies, hand-railing, etc, in mild steel, aluminium or stainless, and if required take care of any glass or wood products associated with the steelwork.
We work with main contractors where we have been involved in the construction of some quite substantial structures as well as secondary steel packages. We also do a lot of work for general builders, providing beams, goalposts, rebar cages, spreader beams, angles, and pretty much anything that is needed.
In addition to construction works, we can carry out bespoke and repeat order metalwork products as you will be able to see from our projects section.
DJL Fabrication is currently based in Tetbury with a 15,000 square foot workshop.
- We employ 6 fabricators.
- We have two fabrication bays; bay 1 with 2no 5000kg overhead cranes; bay 2 with 1no 2500kg overhead crane.
- We have our own CNC machine capacity to make our own bosses and pin joints on contract.
- We have a jig plate – (9000mm x 2500mm) for building bespoke structures on.
- Our fabricators use Synergic Pulse Welding sets, and we can weld Mild or Stainless Steel.
- We carry all relevant and legal certificates for our industry.
